Lol. Im sitting here itching to call.
I feel like im on death row waiting to hear if ill be executed or set free.
WOW what a frustrating experience im so glad its over.
Called today, spoke to a woman who said she would be able to process the final review right there. I gave her all the info back to make sure everything was accurate.
After being on hold for about 10 mins she came back like "Oh sorry i cant give you an answer due to charge offf, so at this time we can not issue you a credit line, you dont have enough established history."
I told her listen, ive raised my credit score 120pts over the past 2 years being proactive paying my bills on time, and being a excellent customer to all the other lenders that issue me credit. She was like well im sorry. I gave her an emotional speech about how i was an 18 yr old with my first credit card and i made a mistake, and how i clearly learned from it my report shows it. She wasn't even listening, it pissed me off. So i told her to escalate my app to a supervisor. Which she did. Guy gets on the phone, sounded half asleep and monotone, i figured he was having a bad day and i was going to just piss him off. SO i toned it down. Calmly explained to him, i'm a chase customer of 8+ years, when i was 18 i made a mistake, working part time going to school full time and charging more than i could afford. He started explaining that the charge off is not allowing the rep to accept blah blah. I guess he could sense my devastation so he said he would put it through for me and see what he could do. He said he would need to update the app (I don't know if another HP resulted in doing so). But he asked me some questions about my spending, and i explained to him i pay my bills to keep my util LOW. ANd he said he could see i have a very low util. So he put me on hold for about 10 mins. Which felt like forever. He came back and started with “Im sorry..” My heart sank a bit almost passed out, “for the hold, but i was able to approve that for you for $1000.” man i said thank you like 20 times. hahahaha dude was like okay okay.
So IM BACK IN GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!
Burned them for 2k
And they are starting me off again at 1k 13.99% . My lowest credit limit BY FAR. But oh well. Maybe i can get a CSP with a higher limit in 6 months and xfer some credit.
My goal was chase freedom sig, but it's okay. Gotta start somewhere.
New goal 780+ credit score. Garden till CSP.r.
congrats! and 13.99 apr? that's amazing.
wow you got the right uw.. he wasn't only kind enough to overwrite the other analyst, but also gave you the best apr.. This is your lucky day.. Congrats.
edit: Can't believe you burned them and got the best apr%.. Mind boggle. Chase never ceases to suprise me.. Grats again

Congrats. I remember telling you. Don't worry of limit. Just get your foot in the door. Congrats again.
yep.
The lowest APR is what really hit the spot.
Will be xfering some credit to this account when i get a CSP.
Im still confused how i got the lowest APR it makes no sense to me. Then again i made a pretty moving speech about the struggle i went through trying to get the approval. Must have felt bad for me.

I said the samething when i called the status. I checked my account and YEP 13.99% APR. If i had a higher limit this card would easily be perfect in the event i ever needed to carry a large balance.
Congrats! I want to get in with chase myself. What are your scores? For some reason they're cut off.

If you need to carry a large balance, I would strongly suggest one of the credit unions. I just applied to SDFCU and got 6.99% APR 15K CL. My first choice would be to juggle at 0% APR or 1.9% APR that many cards offer as intro rate for 12 - 18 month's. Than I'd go CU. 13.99%, while good for most banks, is actually quite high, more than double what most CU's will give you, providing you have 700+ scores. Congrats for getting back in with Chase. I'm wanting to apply, but am waiting for some Inq's to fall off, especially after hearing how Inq crazy they've been getting lately.
