I just got approved for Chase Freedom with a $3,500 limit. I already have a Chase SW Airline card with $8,500 limit so I'm kinda unhappy with the limit they've given me for Freedom.
Is there any way I could request for a reconsideration for CL? If yes, what number should I call at? Did people in the past have success in requesting for a reconsideration and subsequently getting a higher initial CL?

Wow. Seriously? The assigned limit is what you qualified under their underwriting criteria given your overall credit picture/income, present Chase relationship, etc. Chase doesn't have to match or give anything higher.
Some folks have had some success with reconsideration efforts. Be aware, it will be another hard pull. I guess the question begs (without knowing much about your entire credit profile); is $12,000 combined, unsecured credit with Chase not enough? Optionally, you can shift your credit lines so that you can have $6K (or anything optimal based on your spending) with each line if desired.

Well, how about we ask the OP first. Any particular reason why they might've given you that limit? Any negative changes at all since you initially got the Chase SW?

A little harsh there... Anyway, OP: What is your income if you do not mind me asking? They may have given you a low limit because you may be at the max amount of credit they are willing to extend to you based on your income. It could also be low if you do not utilize enough of your SW card. As above says, if you recon for a CLI immediately it will most likely have to be another HP.

Along the lines of what I'm thinking. For your overall credit/income picture $12k is the max Chase wants to be exposed. It's not so much they only want to offer $xxxx on a particular card but the total amount among the cards. You can try for more but as mentioned it'll be another hard pull.
