Honestly though, I'm really considering calling Chase's executive office and recon-ing the CLI. Worst case, they'll tell me no. Might be worth it considering I used a HP.
@Anonymous wrote:Just called the number on the back of my card to request a CLI on my Freedom. Had the card for almost 14 months, initially with a $1k CL, and now at $2k. My Amex accounts have a combined limit of $30k but they're new (from the last 6 months).
I just went for it and requested $10k from Chase (which is a lot, but I figured go big or go home), and was told 7-10 days. I called the backdoor number to speak with a credit analyst and after several holds, he approved me for $5k. Not what I wanted, but it's enough to get my first visa signature, so I'm happy!
Congrats on the approval!
CONGRATS on your Freedom CLI!!!

@Anonymous SO MUCH!!! I've learned SO MUCH FROM THIS FORUM I APPRECIATED EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!! I went from having $39K in ANYWHERE CARDS @ NIXON SAYS TO $110K ANYWHERE CARDS just from CLI's and 3 new cards in a month. All CLI's were HP but worth it. I recently reduced my utilization down to 1% to increase my score. In the garden for the next 2 years until they fall off. I will continue to stalk this site and live vicariously thru everyone else's success!!! @Anonymous, @Creditaddict and @Anonymous and so many others ![]()

Yes! So excited! After dealing with the recon line to get it approved to $5k, I called the Chase EO and put in a request to have it reviewed and CLI to $10k, based off of the same HP. Just checked my Chase account and got the $10k limit! $2k to $10k!
Way to go!!! I'm so happy for you!!
Congratulations!
