So I received a targeted offer from Chase for the Freedom Unlimited. I have received these offers from time to time but this one said $300 for $500 spend for the SUB which was pretty good. I counted out my new cards in the last two years and quite a few of my cards had just aged over 2 years within the last couple months. Though I still swear I'm at 5 or 6, so obviously right on the edge.
My credit score has been going up and down fairly substantially based on utilization. I figured it was a long shot and I'd maybe get a $1000 limit or so but I wanted to use the card for Costco and get in with Chase. I applied on my phone and got an instant approval with a credit line of $7100!!!. Holy crap. This is by far my highest ever instant approval credit limit. And currently my second highest overall limit. I can't even believe it. I instantly put my face up close to my phone in case I was reading it wrong. I am totally blown away. And super excited to finally be in with Chase! To think like 2-3 years ago, Credit One was my highest limit. (though that card served its purpose)
Congrats on the great SL! You had me going there, I was expecting to read where you got a smaller SL or something so I'm glad to see you were within the Chase approval limits . Enjoy!
Congrats on your new card! That SUB offer is as good as it gets for that card. My two sisters applied for the same one last year when the Freedom/FU cards had them. Easiest 60k points for $1k total spend.

Not bad at all! Very nice SL! Congratulations 🎉🍾
Could you provide data points?
Not sure what all to have as data points. They pulled Equifax in California. My credit score has been up and down. I don't have details on what my Equifax is but I think it's around 650 or so right now. My Capital One card is my highest with a $12,000 limit, grown from a $500 Platinum->QS->Venture in about 2.5 years. My utilization according to credit karma is about 39% but my balance from my Capital One just reported a couple days ago as being $2500 instead of $8500 and Credit Karma hasn't acknowledged that yet. Income is about $170k gross including fiance's income. I have two open car loans on my report and two closed car loans. 100% percent payment history except a small medical collection from 2013. Don't carry balances on my cards. Oh and I have a Chase checking account but only have about $1000 going in and out of it monthly (from direct deposit to keep the account open).

Wow that Sub is insane and they targeted you on your score is impressive. Id bet the income helps in their targeting lol. Big congrats.
I'm curious how they would know the income though as I've not applied for anything with Chase recently and they don't see our full checks coming into the account every month like Wells Fargo does.
And it sure sounds like a lot of income but in the area we're in, one person makes that kind of income, not two. lol.
Also, the part I'm the most excited about is that it's going to lower my utilization. I don't bother paying early to drop my utilization because I'm not doing anything important right now credit wise. It'll be nice to add an extra $7100 of available credit. Still blown away by that limit. lol
COngrats on your approval and very nice SL !!!!!
