Well, I decided to try and go for a Cli. I called last month and tried and was denied (this was about 5 months). Tried again this time with a secured message, and was approved.
They asked me how much of an increase I wanted... I was at a $500 limit, so trying not to push it, I asked for $2k. I was approved for the full $2k. I'm almost wondering if I left money on the table lol. This was a soft pull and was confirmed in message.
This was all done via secure message and took about 2 hours.
*Edited to add* - I first tried the CLI button in the app and it said no Cli offers were available
Excellent, thank you for sharing!
Congratulations on your limit increase! Thank you for sharing!
Do you or does anyone else reading this know if Chase will do a counter offer if you ask for more than they're willing to give you?

X2, congrats on the increase!
I don't think anyone has asked for an amount high enough to determine if they'll counter offer. Usually if you call they don't even ask how much you want, and they'll give you whatever they're willing to give. If you don't tell them in the SM how much you want, they'll do the same.
But if you ask for more than they're willing to give, I don't know if they would just give you what you'd be approved for, or would just reply back saying "we can't give you what you asked for"... maybe in that case you can ask them to counter, or offer a lower amount, or just say "thanks but no thanks"... we won't know until someone has this happen and they report here about it.
Nice, congratulations!

My guess is their system would say something like we can't approve you for 20k..but how about 15k. But this is just a guess completely. This would definitely be good to know.. I'm sure that'll happen, and if not, maybe in a few months I'll go asking for like 15k and see what they say for science 😄
Also will be good to know how often we can request these SP Cli. Every 6 months I suppose to be safe after receiving one.
Congratulations on your Chase CLI!
Congrats on your Chase CLI!!!
congrats on the cli
