I can hardly contain my excitement!
I Started slowly getting rid of my baddies (lates) a couple of years ago and my last one was deleted about a month ago. I do have a Bankruptcy from early 2005 still showing and will through April 2015. Yearly income is just over 50K.
I found the forum (THANK YOU SO MUCH!) last June after I was turned down for a Discover More card. After getting a backdoor number here and begging for 30 minutes they gave me a 1,000 limit. I wish I had found it immediately following my BK in 2005.
My only other cards at the time were:
Helzberg Store Card 4,000
Orchard Bank Visa 800
Kohls 300
I let that report along with a small personal loan I had for a few months before a couple more apps in October that got me approved for:
NFL Extra Points 1,000
Walmart Discover 1,000 (called and immediately CLI to 2,000)
At the same time I was able to CLI my Orchard Bank card to 1,400.
Started trying for more CLIs in Jan and was able to get:
Discover: 3,000
Helzberg: 6,200
NFL Extra Points: 2,050
Walmart Discover: 2,500, 4,000, 10,000 - Just got the 10,000 on Monday after the new GE LUV thread (Thanks again)
I've been PIF for the last couple months and after the big walmart CLI I went in and updated my address with Walmart to try and push my new limit to the CBs. (also, thanks again)
My util is currently right at 1.5%
Today I checked my report and noticed that it was showing my new balance so bit the bullet and applied - Turned down online, but called the backdoor number here and got lucky with the first recon. The guy was very nice and looked over my report for about 20 minutes. Came back with a few questions here and there, but finally approved for the 5,000 minimum. I didn't even have to beg.... and I was prepared to. ![]()
I can't put into words how much I appreciate this board and I'm always inspired after reading an approved post - so I had to do one of my own.

Congrats
Congrats! I felt the same way when I got my CSP and didnt think they would approve a 20 year old. Owe it all to this forum!
Congrats! It's a great card.
