I haven't had a CC in 7 years. I was buying a replacement iPod on the apple site yesterday and saw the financing offer so I thought I would give it a try, I only had one inquiry on each CR. Instant approval for $1800. So happy. We had been saving up for an iPad, so I ordered both and will be waiting for the balance to hit the account so I can pay it off immediately. First tangible sign of progress in getting our credit back where it needs to be.
FYI - They pulled TU. I decided to risk it and call the backdoor number for a CLI and got turned down, very nicely. They said with no history of revolving credit, that was the best they could do, but to try again after 6 months of good payment history.
COngrats!!
Congrats!
I would say though that the more obvious step you'r taking towards good credit is being so eager to pay off the balance as soon as it posts. ![]()
Congrats on the approval!

Be good to Barclays, and they will be great to you. I started out with a $3,000 limit and I'm up to $20,000 now.
I heard that Barclays is one of the few lenders that still pulls TU98 for card approvals? Anyone know if that is actually true?
