Woo-hoo! Glad to do my part. I'm hoping to do the same and pair it with a Freedom card as well (though probably the CFU if the 3% for the first year doesn't go away before I'm finally ready to app again).

Interesting comment, not sure what to make of it. A look at the approvals board will show that many people with scores lower than mine, sometimes by 100 or more points, have been approved for AMEX gold. Maybe they just want my AF.
