So I have been wanting the CSP for some time now as im a pilot and wanted a travel card.
I am a relatively new immigrant to the US and only received my Social Security number 1 yr ago, Since then i have been working hard on trying to establish credit here is my journey:
11months ago - secured CC wells fargo CL $300 CLOSED
8 months ago - Capital one Platinum CL $600
6 months ago - Amex Gold/Wells fargo Platinum applications Denied
4 months ago - left wells fargo checking/savings/secured CC as I was mad from the denial as I was a customer for 5 yrs
Opened Chase checking account.
4 months ago - Chase Amazon Prime VISA CL $600
Last week -AMEX BLUE CASH CL $5000
TODAY -Went into Chase Bank and asked for any pre approvals as I had none on my computer at home....
Boom!! Pre approved for all cards including Sapphire reserve??..... Took a swing and applied for Sapphire
Preferred and was instant approved for CL $5000
CURRENT CARDS: CSP $5000
AMEX BC $6000
CHASE AMAZON PRIME VISA $1600
CAP ONE PLATINUM $1100
Now I have the cards I want for a good while and will continue to use them wisely and garden...
FICO: 722 TU: 740 EQ: 738
INCOME: $40.000
8 MONTHS OLDEST ACCOUNT
Hope this helps you all in your credit journey!
Well done, congrats on your approval....
Nope! thats what was intersting.. I went into the bank with the intention of getting some more blank checks and i thought i would talk to a banker to get advice on how long to wait untill pre approvalls start to come in since i was there allready, he sat me down looked on his screen and i was pre qualified for everything.... I was very shocked to also be pre approved for the Sapphire Reserve but i think i will wait till next year for that one.
Big congrats! Would love the CSP later, but I’m over the 5/24 with Chase........☹️
ah thats unfortunate! sorry to hear... i would recomend opening a chase checking account in the mean time as im sure that helped my case out alot!
I was 4/24 but now with my CSP I
