I had applied over the weekend and didn't receive an instant approval. I called the application status line and got the 2 week message.
I called customer service on Monday to see if they needed anything on my end regarding verification. To my surprise, they said no and that they'd call me if anything was required.
Well I logged into my Chase account and noticed the sapphire reserve had been added to my credit cards! No approval email or anything of the sort yet.
From my account, I can see the following:
$18,600 starting limit (my biggest limit yet)
28.74 APR (ouch)
Thankfully, I don't carry balances!
They only pulled Experian, 806 FICO Score 8 at time of approval

I thought the same thing when I saw my crazy high APR. It's higher than any of my other cards as a matter of fact.
I wonder if it's due to the CSR being my third card with Chase. I don't know man, crazy stuff
