Just a quick comment regarding no q4 penfed offers. I did not get any either but applied for a CLI and they gave me 8500 for a total of 15k without a HP.

You got a PenFed CLI with a SP? 😮

Nice work!

My behind-the-glass tellers look at me cross-eyed when I ask for preapprovals but the sit-down bankers always understand.  Downside is my branch is packed every hour with day laborers cashing checks and they always wait in line for sit-down bankers so I never want to wait an hour to ask.  I need to find a new branch but this one is walking distance from my house.

After November 30th I'll go wait in line and ask -- that is 6 months from approval (green checkmark) of my Chase FU.

The thing is, I am 4/24 with bankcards but 6/24 with credit cards including store cards so who knows if I am over or under 5/24 rules.

I'm 5/24 and see on a recent credit report that there was a soft pull from Chase about 3 weeks ago. No green check mark for cards in my offers however.

Is there any good indicator of if I'm pre-approved for anything or not? Will I just have to walk into a branch and speak with a private banker to check for me? That would only be a 3 minute conversation I assume if I'm not? Lol

New to board...what is the "5/24" rule?  Thanks for holding my hand!

I have always noticed the SP, but NEVER get check marks of any kind in the portal.  So from my experience no there aren't any indicators.  I went in the branch September 5 pre-approved offers (I didn't take any) and in October I went back in branch and had pre-approvals and decided to take one.  So yes go in branch and ask, I would also rec you asking them to tell you or show you what all showed up, because each time I went in they immediately tried to sell me on the Freedom Unlimited.
