Thanks!! That's super lame.  Is this card hard to get or something?  I'm new to all this.

That's standard for Chase. No way around it. Chase may actually do 2 additional pulls, but not always.
Congrats on the approval!!!

Not a bad SL with your Reserve approval so nothing really "lame" per se if Chase requires another HP to consider anything higher.  That's how Chase rolls 🤷‍♂️  I'd be grateful for the approval and SUB.

Also, not a difficult card to obtain provided there's a decent profile, income, scores, and below 5/24.

Lol, those are pretty  big not difficulties FinnySmiley Wink.  Id say 5/24 is a big obstacle for many , especially on here but  i think with the right combo its achievable though us lower peons i guess are stuck with our Syncs or MenitiesSmiley Wink

Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve credit request

Chase will certainly HP one OR TWO bureaus if you want more than your SL. If you really need to put more than $16K a month through the card, I would make a mid statement payment and then continue spending. Chase is known to see when their cards are being used heavily and then paid in full. They should reward you  with auto CLIs, which are soft pull as long as your profile is solid. Judging by your SL you just got, I'm guessing your profile is clean, so no worries there! 🙂

Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve credit request

Chase bank pulled my credit during the initial application and they wanted to pull another credit check 12 hours later after I called for a higher credit limit would it count as one inquiry or two?

They might not even pull same CRA, but no they won't merge. You're looking at one Moore pull at minimum.

As mentioned upthread, regardless if it's been 1 hour, 24 hours, 72 hours, etc., there will be a separate HP (possibly on another CRA) if you decide to pursue a higher SL.  And, there's no guarantee it'll be approved if Chase feels you have sufficient exposure.
