It's been quite a while since I last received any increases from Chase (Dec 2020). With all of the talk about SP's being done, I decided to be patient and do a bit more relationship building before trying my hand. Recently moved over some assets to JP Morgan and upgraded to Sapphire banking, not that I was expecting that to have a huge bearing on any potential increases, but thought it couldn't hurt to wait until after I fortified the relationship first.
So I called up and got a rep who was indicating HP's would be done. Promptly ended that conversation and HUCA'd. Next rep was much better and clearly indicated that Chase has done away with HP's and assured me that I could try for increases on all three of my cards and that they would be SP only. He also indicated that the process can be done every 6 months. So three wheel spins, and....
United Club: +$9000, from $15,000 --> $24,000
Sapphire Preferred: +$7800, from $21,900 --> $29,700
OG Freedom: +$9000, from $12,400 --> $21,400
Super stoked! But my OCD couldn't let those new limits be, so the rep then assisted with a couple reallocations:
Moved $1000 from the Freedom to the United Club
Moved $300 from the Freedom to the Sapphire Preferred
So now, new limits are:
United Club: $25,000
Sapphire Preferred: $30,000
Freedom Visa: $20,100
Total Chase exposure now $75,100...I'll take it, thanks!
