Chase United Explorer approval...wow!

I have a frequent flyer account with United and also a couple of small accounts (checking, investment) with Chase. As I’m lol/24, I’ve never had any preapprovals with Chase.

I noticed when in the United app on my phone this morning that the usual advertisement for the Explorer card also included a preapproval banner, which I had never seen before. I then signed into the Chase app on my phone, and found in the credit cards section that I was preapproved for the Marriott, Southwest, and United Explorer cards, with a fixed APR on the United card of 21.99%.

After checking here and seeing that many others who were lol/24 were suddenly being approved for Chase cards, I pulled the trigger and was instantly approved for $17,500!

Data points: Chase pulled TU and EX, scores around 710-720, income $125k.

This approval also puts me in the $100k club across cards, not including the NPSL cards I have with Amex.

What has gotten into Chase?!

Congrats on your awesome SL and your new membership to the 100K club! Chase seems to be sending lots of love through their preapprovals lately!

Re: Chase United Explorer approval...wow!

Thanks, everyone!

Given the 5/24 rule, I didn't expect to have a Chase card for a long time to come, and I didn't expect a Chase card to be my 2nd-highest limit (NFCU is still 1st), and I certainly didn't expect Chase to be the one to push me into the $100k club!

I did not Expect another Chase card either being at LOL/24.

But I have to say, ..One of My Amex cards, is more than double my Highest Chase and NFCU put together.
