I applied for three Chase cards in the same day, not realizing I could only be approved for two within a 30 day period. So I just called Chase and they were FANTASTIC and just rolled my Amazon Chase card over to Chase Sapphire Preferred with the same $6500 credit limit. So awesome! I've read on this board about using Chase Freedom UR point with Chase Sapphire Preferred together so I'm pretty pumped about that. I will probably apply for another Chase card in 30 days are so because they're giving em decent limits which is awesome.
I would have never known I could do that if it wasn't for this board. Thanks!
**EDIT** Yes, I am still getting the sign on bonus since I JUST applied for these cards and haven't received them yet. Don't worry!**
**EDIT 2** I think I shouldn't consider this a PC seeing as all they did was flip the approval from one card to another**

You might call or SM them about seeing if you are going to get the CSP sign on bonus as I don't know that you will be eligible since you PC'd. The 45,000 additional UR points you score as a sign on bonus can be worth $900 if you can get $0.02/UR when transferring to mileage partners (or even more if you can get more value).
You realize by doing this you basically left $400 on the table?!
Im more surprised that this is possible. When I tried to PC the Amazon card a while back, I was told it was impossible!

+1. More like $450 at least. Better thing to do would be to either SD or close the Amazon and transfer the limit to the freedom, then app for CSP. Oh well, it's still impressive that you could PC a co-branded chase card to the CSP!! In the meantime, I would immediatley send a SM explaining the situation and so you can get the sign-up bonus honored.

Oh! So much negativity! Actually still getting the sign on bonus. But thank you for the concern. Win/Win for me.
Maybe I should have clarified that I JUST signed up for these cards and haven't even received them yet. I just called and double checked with them AGAIN and he assured me I would still get the sign on bonus as a new member. So no worries here!

Sorry you took it that way. I wasn't aware Chase gave sign up bonuses for PC. Glad you got it in that case.
Congratulations. I'm thinking of PC my Chase Southwest Premier to CSP also.
