Chevron and Amazon Approval

Well I tripped out the garden early this morning after getting notified that my last collection was removed from Transunion. My score jumped from 609 to 674. I have been needing a gas card for a long time since I use a tank daily for my job. I applied for Chevron and got approved for $700. So, I got itchy finger syndrome and decided to pull the trigger on Amazon since I shop there a lot. Got approved for $400. Probably would have gotten higher starting limits if my util had been lower. That will be remedied this month. Does anyone have insight on the whole $0 balance not generating statement thing with GE in regards to these two accounts? I heard Walmart is that way. Is it the same with Chevron and Amazon? I generally like to pif everything but my NFCU. However, I don't want to not generate statements on these accounts. Thanks in advance!

Congrats!

A zero balance before statement cut will still generate a statement as long as there was activity during the statement period.

Congrats on your new cards Smiley Happy

I have Chevron Visa, a statement is generated even if you PIF prior to its cut.

Re: Chevron and Amazon Approval

Thanks guys. I've read conflicting things about Walmart. So just wanted to make sure about these other two. Want to make sure my statements cut so I can request my cli in 4 months.

Just make sure that there's activity within that statement cycle to generate a statement, even if you PIF during the same cycle.
