Citi AA World Elite MC Success

I burned Citi about 10 years ago and they ended up closing my HD and Sears cards a few years ago, even though none of those two had late payments and were always PIF’d. I decided to give this card a try because we travel frequently and even though your results may vary, I got approved for this card $18,900 limit. Credit scores are mid to upper 700s and over 800 on Experian. I’m done applying and need to be in the garden for a few years because I have opened too many accounts since 2020. Thank you! I app’d for the Barclay’s card AA card and even though I called the recon line, they turned me down. The Citi card is ranked the best of the two anyway, so woo-hoo!

what you got rejected for Barclay Red with that score and credit history? Thx for the DP, was thinking of applying for that card..

And they sometimes do turn people down with scores in the 800s, I found that out on these boards. They are very nitpicky for that card. They don’t want you opening other cards next to theirs. I had a Juniper card with them 15 years ago and it was closed because I rarely used it.
