Citi Custom CashSM Card initial credit limit of $500 (?)

I've gotten the Citi Prestige® with $12,400.00 a few days ago. It seemed I've misunderstood 0% APR offer (not getting it on the Prestige®) so the person in an online chat suggested the Custom Cash just as I was opening an envelope with their offer with the same. (and with the 0% APR)

One more HD is what I can live with, so I applied for the Citi Custom Cash only to get those $500.00? It does not seem right? Any ideas? (I just called them and was advised to call once I receive the new card in question)

Congrats on your approvals! It's probably only low because you got two cards back to back. Can you transfer some of the Prestige's limit over to the Custom Cash card?

I never had such a card with such a small CL. (granted, my highest limits are not too high - $12.5 with Prestige, $10K with Capital One Venture and $9K with Discover IT Travel)

I wonder if a new card with a low CL can negatively impact my credit score / outcome with other lenders down the lane?

Hopefully you have some luck when you call back in.

Possibly you could move some from the Prestige? I'm not real familiar with Citi in that way.

Citi doesn't have a traditional reallocation policy, they'll do HP, and believe both cards must be eligible for CLI

They could also do HP, close Prestige, and move limit to Custom, but Prestige is also new, so not an option.
