I said before I pulled the trigger
With 3k, I'll be underwhelmed, but not terribly upset.
With 6k, I'll be happy.
With 12k, I'll be thrilled.
So I'm somewhere between happy and thrilled.
But I guess Citi loves these odd credit limits. Why not just make it an even $10k? My Custom Cash is $15.9k, so they both have that x.9 in there.
20,000 TY points after $1500 spend.
0% interest on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months. After that 21.99% APR.
That's interesting because I just got notice with my Citi Custom Cash statement the other day that my APR is increasing from 24.49% to 26.49% because
"Your APR for Purchases and Balance Transfers and Citi Flex Plans
are below the APR(s) we offer consumers with the same credit
score who apply for the same or a similar card product today. As a
result, we are increasing your APR(s)."
That smelled like AA and scared me since I was preparing to apply for another Citi card.
They pulled Equifax. My Eq FICO 8 was 760, but that may have gone up a little due to decreased utilization that reported today, but I haven't seen the updated score. (Ex8 went up 6 points.)
[EDIT: Looks like Eq 8 was 765 at the time.]
I was 0/6, 3/12, 6/24 on new revolving accounts.
0/6, 3/12, 5/24 inquiries. But a couple of those were for a car loan and on the same day, so they should be combined to make it 0/6, 2/12, 4/24 inquiries.
AAoA 5 years, 3 months
AoOA 9 years, 11 months
AoYA 6 months
Income $78k
Rent $700
Utilization was a concern of mine since I have a new-ish loan that hasn't yet been paid down very much.
$44,481 of a $49,000 loan - 91% (My most recent payment hasn't shown up on Eq yet.)
AZE11 and revolving utilization looks like this:
$788 / $3,000 26%
$196 / $15,900 1% (Citi Custom Cash)
$0 / $22,000 = 0%
$0 / $6,500 = 0%
$108 / $5,850 = 2%
$530 / $10,000 = 5%
$0 / $7,000 = 0%
$2,821 / $17,500 = 16%
$230 / $14,500 = 2%
$1,432 / $4,000 = 36%
$0 / $17,500 = 0%
$0 / $7,200 = 0%
$0 / $4,000 = 0%
$383 / $15,000 = 3%
$155 / $15,000 = 1%
$645 / $4,300 = 15%
$0 / $12,000 = 0%
$1,706 / $25,000 = 7%
Aggregate:
$8,994 of $206,250 = 4%

Thanks.
Yeah, the AZE(x) has kinda gotten out of hand. I got this card partly as a BT card to help get that stuff under control. For my purposes, the Rewards+ is as good of a BT card as the cards they intend for BT - the Simplicity and Diamond Preferred. Those have 21 months of 0% while this one is 15 months. That should be plenty. Plus this card has some use beyond just being for BT.
Of course, it's still a potential future Custom Cash. But it might be a keeper.
I've been using my Custom Cash for cash back, usually as statement credit. I don't think this card does that. I belive that you get travel rewards or gift cards. I don't travel that much. I can barely justify having the Chase Sapphire Preferred. So I don't really need to get into Citi travel rewards at this time. We'll see how well I like their gift card selections and redemption for a year and then I'll decide whether to keep it or PC to a 2nd Custom Cash.
That’s Terrific!! Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
