2nd App after a 3+ year break. I just posted about my Chase Amazon Prime Signature Approval.
Just got instant approval and a tiny $1000 SL for the "new" Carter's credit card. I'm not that bothered as it's not going to be a heavy use card in any way, shape or form. Opened mostly just to collect double points on clothes for the kid. Every 150 points earned generates a $10 coupon.
That said, there don't seem to be a lot of data point on this card here. o I'm making this post to add to that. The two references I found had scores in the mid-high 600s to low 700s - they both got $1000 SL's as well. I know I'm in the 800s all around, so that could Comenity/Carter's starting line threshold. Or they don't trust me because my income was stated as other since it was household. Who knows! *shrugs*
I did need to join their Rewarding Moments (such a cheesy name!) rewards program prior to applying for the card.
They give a nice 25% off everything (including clearance and doorbuster items) bonus for opening the card. Saved $50 with that.
But it's still Comenity, which I understand is an "is what it is" lender. I would like to recon but a quick search here tells me that's not really worth the time. So, as with Chase, I guess I'll use and pay off on it a few times and then ask for a CLI. Of course, this will take much longer as we only buy kid clothes maybe 2x a year.
If you're reading, I hope you're having a great day!
Congratulations on your Carter's Approval!
Congrats on your approval!! Since it's Comenity, you should be able to increase limit fairly easy over time. Comenity is a finicky lender though. CLD and closures happen out of the blue. One card doesn't put you at great risk. 😊
Congratulations on your Carter's approval!
Congratulations on your Comenity Carter's Approval..
Congrats on your Carter's approval and
welcome back out of the garden, @Anonymous!
That was a long time away!

Congrats again !
Updating that Comenity/Carter's was a soft pull to Experian.
