Comenity Sephora Visa

Hi Guys -

I applied for a Sephora Visa card about 10 days ago. I immediately got the "Your Application Is Under Review" message... (we'll send you a letter within 10 days.) I assumed it was denied, but I have an IKEA card with Comenity in good standing, so I was kinda confused. I got a letter yesterday telling me they can't increase my limit at this time. Mind you, I just applied...so that seemed weird. I called customer service and my account was approved - $1900 starting CL, and I should have my card in a few days. I never received an letter or email that I was approved, AND NO CREDIT PULL HAPPENED. Just wanted to share that weirdness with you.

Congrats on the approval !  It's likely that the inquiry is just delayed in showing up on your reports.

comenity is super weird. 

someone stole my identity and applied for this sephora card THREE TIMES. I called comenity (bread) and they said they have no record of the pulls and the CRA wont remove the fraud pulls. so angry.

CONGRATS though.. and they are known for doing soft pull approvals if you the bait online (like if you shop online and are offered the card via the SCT-shopping cart trick)

Could just be that... that you took the pre approval from online. I've gotten soft pull cards through comenity using the SCT and never got hard pulls.

Thank you so much. I've actually been here for years but lost my old account when I lost access to my old email. It was a mess... 😕 Lots of "life" has happened in the last 3-1/2 yrs so I'm starting over fresh - BK7 in 2020 - so I'm building my credit and scores again from scratch. Almost at 700 now... Getting there.
