Applied 4 or 5 days ago and got an instant approval for $24K. I'll be flying VA to Australia next year and why I have lots of VA points now this will come in handy to pad that account. What's surprising about the approval is that this was approved without an HP which is a bit unusual. When I applied it came back with the approval faster than I've ever had before. No exaggeration-when I hit the submit button the approval came back in less than a second. Usually you get the spinning thinking mode but there was none of that. I just checked Equifax and Comenity/VA did an SP on me on 9/18 which is the date I joined the Virgin America points program in order to transfer Amex points to it. I guess the approval was based off of that SP. Certainly makes me happy as I was fully expecting that there would be a hard inquiry. The application was not done via any SCT as I just applied thru the main application page.
NICE CONGRATS!!!!!!!
Congrats
Very nice.. Do it by the SCT method or just regular app? One of the biggest approvals I think I have seen for this card

Thanks. Regular application thru my Virgin America page which I think was the key factor in no HP. Clearly they used the SP from when I joined on 9/18
Wow that's a monster limit on that card Irish not sure I've seen one bigger. Congrats! Sounds somewhat similar to my SGV approval about two weeks ago. Never got a HP on that. I did see that there was a SP on EQ from Comenity Capital Bank in mid Sept and on the day I took them up on the SGV. It sounds like it is still possible to get a Comenity VS or MC on a SP but maybe it's a matter of timing in relation to their last SP. for promo reasons. I can get the Virgin pop up everytime I log in and throw some tickets in and go to check out and they have sent me several preapproval letters same with Fuel Rewards. I must resist though. Want to keep my AAoA at 3 years or more and I need to garden. Maybe I'll revisit both of those after I get my CSP and PenFed in two years and am pushing upper 700's for bigger approvals.
One of few cards I'd luv to acquire but would serve little to no purpose for me... dangit!!! Nevertheless, great card - congrats.
Congrats
