Re: Commerce Bank - Save the Children Approved

Commerce Bank's CLI process is kind of odd. When I called about a CLI I was informed that I would have to apply for a new card and, if approved, that new limit would just be added onto your existing account. I did this and it was approved, then out of nowhere there was a new card in my mailbox with a different account number.  Confused I called Commerce and was informed that me receiving that second card was a mistake as it's not supposed to be shipped to the customer. As I said, it's an odd process.

Re: Commerce Bank - Save the Children Approved

CLI's are hit or miss with Commerce but they do happen - by request is HP.  Unfortunately, no recon on initial SL is available.  So, the best way to get a CLI is auto, use the CC quite a bit over a long period, not just a stick of gum every couple months.   Commerce is a bit odd, but once you have a couple (or maybe 3 CCs), cards can be combined - eventually.

So, I would say be happy with the approval, regardless of the SL Smiley Happy (could be lots lower) because as you've seen on these boards, some folks experience authentication or verification issues and either the CC gets closed or don't even get to play.  Your SL is above the average what may be approved depending on the overall profile.  I chose Charity Charge (with ASPCA as my non-profit) when I applied in May.
