Completing the Circle

So last month I apped for my first credit card in years, the Chase Sapphire Preferred and got an instant approval of 6k. After seeing the UR mall and seeing how many points I have already earned only with the the Sapphire Preferred in the last month. I figured should get the Freedom to increase the point earning bliss. So today I went to a Chase branch opened a checking account(for the 10% bonus) and apped for the Freedom, got an instant approval for $6,000 with the card expedited. I really liked the bank I even set up an appointment to speak to one of their financial advisor reps. I may transfer a lot of my investments to JP Morgan, but that's a whole another discussion.  Anyway happy I now have the Sapphire Preferred and Freedom and will eventually add the United Explorer.

+1 If you're not getting at least 50k UA miles, you don't have the right app link!

Re: Completing the Circle

Congrats your 1-2 punch is now complete and ready for action

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credit-card-programs/1330475-ua-mileageplus-explorer-card-up-60k-mile...

Read the wiki at the top of the page.

You get an additional 5k miles if you add an AU so if you don't have anyone specific, just add your parents or something and don't use it. You can close it after that.
