Couldn't Help It

Since my inquiries are through the roof I pulled the trigger on a few for kicks. About a month ago I applied for the Paypal Mastercard and was declined yet with even more inquiries I was approved. My scorewatch hasn't really seen any activity and this morning apparently my EQ went up 10 points. All I've done is add more inquiries since I pulled my report manually on 7/19 when all my new accounts hit and my last unpaid collection was deleted from my report. Funny to me. But here are the new adds.

Playstation Visa $300 (lol)

Kohls $300 (also denied last month)

PayPal Mastercard $3000

QVC $2000

ShopHQ $1500

Home Depot $1500 (was reconed from $500 same day)

I'm honestly confused at being denied a month a go and being approved a month later with what I feel is an even worse list of inquiries and new accounts. But hey I'll take it. Actually going to let my utilization go around the 30-35% mark this month and document the score hit from my 2% and then bring it back down to see the effects of the points coming back more or less. I'll have a pretty thick file come a year from now when I see about getting some bigger bank cards.The fact that I was 6 for 6 is pretty hilarious all things (inquiries) considering.

I'm honestly floored by this whole credit system. I have several and I mean several new accounts opened just last month with my mega spree and still getting approvals.

Sams Club Mastercard $1500

Walmart Discover $1600

Dillards AMEX $1000

Apple Visa $1200

The Apple Visa is really puzzling with all my new accounts and a football team worth of inquiries. But that is the very last one as I've seen the posts on Barclay closing cards because of those two reasons. This time next year should be glorious.
