Credit One Platimum | 1 month after Ch7 DC

Credit 1 Platinum

SL: $1,000

Interest Rate: 26.24%
AF: $0

CR used: EX

FICO score: 763

AAoA: 5y

Open accounts: 0

Closed accounts: 18 (9 IIB)

My chapter 7 discharge was filed at the end of August with 243K in credit card debt discharged (we got to keep the house and 2 cars). I'm just over 30 days post DC. Saw in a forum post titled "HOW TO: From BK7 discharge to 700 in 24 months or less!" steps to take to rebound from Ch7 and the first card I was advised to app for was this one.

Oddly enough EX says my FICO score is 763. I might need to buy a FICO 3B Ultimate 3-in-1 to verify my FICO scores because when my Ch7 filing hit my credit reports at the end of May 2022, my EX score dropped to 550.

DW received an instant approval for this same product with similar data points and a SL of $400, but Credit One didn't provide any credit report data used to make the decision.  Next up in the How-To post: $1,000 credit builder loans.

Congrats on the DC and the approval. I would have started out with a Cap One and skipped the CreditOne. Thats what I did after my Ch13 DC in January 2021. Cap One Platinum first (via the Cap One prequal page), followed quickly (1 or. 2 days) by an OLLO Rewards approval via an invite link on CreditSesame.

Be very careful with Credit One.

Congrats! That sounds like one of the better CreditOne cards.

Yes, your score doesn't sound right, but Experian should be accurate. The free score they give is EX FICO 8. Have you looked at the credit report itself? It should show your BK. (Check the menu on experian.com.) You can also pull your reports from AnnualCreditReport.com, which will give you more information than any other site (but no scores).

Re: Credit One Platimum | 1 month after Ch7 DC

perhaps the Ex score was Credit One's proprietary score after pulling Ex?

edit: Congratulations, all the same.

I agree is this your actual  FICO score from Experian's website  I have never seen that score range from a BK discharge that soon?  Your BK discharged in august of this year ???@_NERD
