@CreditMagic7 wrote:Concerning hesitation to the stiff 300 AF on the Elite, you might could look at this way. IF and or when Diner's closes this window (if they do) at some point after this rollout you have a choice. If after the first year the higher AF Elite has worked for you, then you'll harbor zero regrets, if not you can cancel and be no more worse for wear that you didn't need it. However if they do close that window for new applicants (This Is Diner's Club International) you wouldn't want to have some regrets that you didn't get in while the chance was right there in front of you at the time.
I know you applied magic. which one did you get or did you get both?
congrats

Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

Both.
It only took all of a single day after the premier card hit the mailbox to go ahead and throw caution to the wind and shoot for the 2nd one (with 3X ). Already sent off the $95AF plus some balance used so far to get that part out of the way. I figured once the pre-fee is dismissed on the "Elite" ASAP, that AF will prove not so intimidating considering the SL.
Did they match your 1st card line?

ok. i will at least wait until i get card in hand. may do it as well. as ive seen others now app for the elite as well. im not really concerned with the AF as i plan to travel quite a bit in 2015. if i don't get fair deal in my mind can always cancel after a year.
but i am keeping the premier no matter what. ![]()

Yes they did. Satisfied now that i pressed ahead to obtain both. Worth the 300AF IMHO, at least for this first year. Maybe longer
