i like your my apr was reduced like meh Haha . Dropping from 16% to 9% is huge. I would have splashed that in huge letters
. I know people like to say I never carry balance but end up like some of us without jobs, that 9% will seem like a gift from the credit heaven
Is that typical with them when you ask for a CLI? That they reconsider your APR and lower it as well - automatically? Definitely seems like a great benefit.
For me it was the other way around.
I asked for a CLI a few months back.
It was a delayed HP notification so at first I assumed it was a SP for a week or so.
And went from a SCL of 10k with a CLI of 5k to make 15k.
But my EQ 5 score at the time was 719.....and when I first app'd for the CC it was like 750ish.
The CSR told me they would give the CLI but the would have to raise the APR some due to the score change.
I had no issue with that since I use the card only every so often and rarely carry a balance so I took the deal.

That sucks! Talk about being the red headed step child in this scenario. ![]()
But at least you got a nice 50% bump in your CL out of it.

That's my score, too. I'll be stalking your approval posts now bc in my mind, we should qual for the same things lol...
As far as changing APR, I'm unsure. I didn't ask for it. He just mentioned it to me. IIRC, when I called them a few days ago asking for deals, the rep may have mentioned something about a possible rate change depending on my new score and available offers that show up in the quarterly review. I did notice that the past Loan Suite offers had higher APRs than this one. So, it must depend on the quarterly review.
Congrats!!!
Congrats, that's a great limit for a DCU card!
I always forget that offers come once a quarter... Hopefully they will have a CLI offer for me in July or October. My APR is 13% on my card so it's not too bad but I'll never object to a lower APR!
Congratulations!

Congratulations!
Congratulations!!! I'll be trying for the same at the end of the year!
CONGRATS CR101!!!
I know this post is a couple months old, just hoping info is the same for this next quarter as I read this is one of the quarters that DCU makes the offers.
My scores were in the mid 600's and now, especially my EQ has gone up to 727. Hoping to see those offers like you did!!!
When did the offers show up? after the first of the month or after DCU pulled SP on credit bureau? I looked back at my EQ and DCU does a SP every 4th Tuesday, then we get our FICO score in our mail from them. If that is when you/we get the offers that will be before July 1st. Just trying to see when this will happen as a soft pull because I want to refi auto--possibly get CLI too but want to keep INQ's down as I want to apply for mortgage in about 6 months.
Appreciate any info you can give or anyone else on when the offers will show up.
Thanks!!!

Congrats on the huge score increase! That's awesome. The new quarterly offers showed up at midnight ET on 04/01 IIRC. I applied right away and I believe that this caused an issue with them not having my preapproval offer in all of their system. It resulted in a HP. You may want to wait til after midnight PT in case they haven't fixed this issue...
I'm not sure if you have gotten a CLI from them this yr, but I confirmed w them that you're only allowed 1 SP CLI on your card each year. Not sure if you want to hold out for an even higher score, which may result in a higher CLI. I would go for it now, though. Congrats, and can't wait to see your results!
