DW Approved for BBVA Compass Clearpoints.

DW has gotten like 5 prequalified mailers for this card was hesitant to pull the trigger. We are no where in there footprint we live in Utah applied online it asked could the system send a text code. After that instant approval alot of people say they are conservative her limit is $7500 some data points. She is 3 years +4 months behind a BK7 EX Fico 08
704. Im assuming thats what they pulled 10 Inqs 2 new accounts in last 6 months. So if u are not in there area and get a mailer and want the card go for it.

Congrats to DW! I’m personally a big fan of this card but when you get it, if you’re going to do pull payments, make sure you add your bank because they have a verification process before you can actually do pull payments from another financial institution where they deposit two small amounts and you have to verify them. 

If you do push payments, most banks mail a check so make sure to leave time for that. 

Also get the mobile app, the website tends to be very unstable.

No problem. And the first part I said push instead of pull but I meant if you are going to pull the payment from an external account. DW should enjoy! The totally uncapped rewards are awesome and while there’s normally a $25 minimum redemption for cash back, if you have a purchase that fits in your available cash back you can just erase it. It’s an awesome card now that you can manage your rewards from the app and things that code retail with BBVA don’t with most other cards. I got retail marked for both Amazon and a PayPal Dell Outlet laptop purchase last month and Woot Gourmet codes as grocery. 

They also code cell phones as utilities.

There seems to be a lot of discussions about the BBVA card lately. They (BBVA) seem to be sending their mailers left and right, even to people out of their geo area.

Question -- Is there a way to increase my chances of getting a mailer for this card?

Yes they pull EX, looks to be FICO 9 or Bank card 9 along with EX Vantage scores used for approvals.

Congrats, OP! I got a mailer for this one yesterday but I didn’t take it, contrary to what AJC thinks LOL
