A couple years into my rebuild, I decided to obtain cards that are useful to me instead of limit-padding. Since I am close to retirement and intend to travel extensively,
I PC my Chase CSP to the CSR. Also got a CLI from 10k to 14.5k,
applied for the Barclaycard JetBlue. 12k approval,
applied for the Amex SPG. 16k approval,
CLI my BoA CR from 10.6k to 20.9k (asked for 25k).
in the next couple months, I will close my
Citi DP 8.4k
Barclay Arrival+ 5k
Cap one Qs 7.25k
Cap one GM .725k
Discover 9k
Aaoa: 2 years 5 months

Eq. 3
TU. 9
Inc: 166k reported
FICO score at the time of apps:

I will be in the garden until Dec 2018.

Might want too combine your Arrival + limit into Jetblue. and out of curosity why do you want to close your discover?
Good idea! I will call Barclay and ask. As to Discover, no real reason to close it; just too many cards to manage. Then again, there’s no real reason to keep it either.
thanks Harvey
