Diners Approval; Not Based On Current Limits?

Applied on Monday: 7-10 day message. Waited 2 days to call in today to confirm approval: 40K!

 

I suspect approval limits might be more based on credit profile rather than Diners trying to "match" highest limits.

 

My highest limit was only 15K but my credit profile was very strong: TU FICO 808, 0 inquires, AAoA 8.5 years, and 1% utilization.
