Wanted a 0% intro APR card, Disco is still offering 15 months plus for the first year at least this is a 2% cashback card so I went ahead with the pre-approval just to see what would happen. They came back with 17.74% APR after the intro runs out which I thought was a pretty good sign.
Only 6k which isn't great but not my worst either so I'll take it ![]()
Of course being a child of the 80s I had to go for the mix tape design!

Congratulations! 🥳
Congrats on the approval!

Congratulations on your Discover approval, enjoy it.
Congrats. Decent Cashback card! Discover likes alot of use to get future CLIs. I only signed up for the Bonus where they matched cashback first year. After that just quarterly for the 5% if it meshes up with my spending hence no CLIs for me.
Congratulations 🎉 on your discover approval. I'm also a 80s kid and love the mix tape design hehe.
Congrats! Out of curiosity, how did you land on this card over WF Active Cash, Freedom Unlimited, Cap 1 Quicksilver, etc? They have really good rewards and 0% APRs too.

I already have a 2% card, the FNBO Evergeen so the Quicksilver was out, plus C1 likes to triple pull and I've dealt with them before and have multiple closed C1 cards. I also don't want to do business with Wells Fargo. They have pulled so many dirty stunts over the years (they all have but Wells is in another league) that I just don't want anything to do with them. Chase and I are always on shakey ground as I burned them once about 20 years ago (for about $1,200 as I recall) and they really haven't gotten over it. They won't outright deny me but they don't give me anything for free (think CLIs, etc) either.
I've never had a Discover card and it's something I've wanted to add to my wallet for a while and I guess now was as good a time as any. Decent intro APR period and I was approved at their lowest possible APR (after the 0% runs out) as well which is a first for me anywhere, ever. In addition to that I know Disco cards will grow with usage like some of my other cards (FNBO is a standout in this regard) and now I have another avenue for 5% cashback as well as I now have 5 cards that give me 5% back with a variety of categories.
I've never had a rotator before, never had a Disco before and I like 5% cashback and the timing was right is really what it boils down to.
In the future I may decide to pursue a Freedom Flex as well.
Oh and since I forgot to mention it in my OP, they pulled EX for me. Not sure which score they used though. I had all 3 reports on ice for the pre-qual and that's the one they asked me to unfreeze.
