Okay, so from the other thread, I heard about everyone receiving CLIs via SPs (all these initials for everything) for Discover. Sadly, I was not a part of that group, but ...
But, I did chat with a representative, and asked if I could have my interest rate lowered from 22.29% (I applied for the card with poor credit). She gave me a choice between 0% interest for 12 months or rate lowered to 20.24%. Well, I chose the former thinking that in 12 months, my credit will be even better, and I can ask for a much lowere rate - so, I'll have 0% for now, and lower rate then (if I chose the latter, I wouldn't be able to exercise both options).
She did inicate that I could call a credit analyst about my CLI.
So, just FYI to everyone in case they want to give this a try!!
Well done!!! ![]()

Sure, no problem. December of 2013 is when I opened it so close to 3 years.
Thanks!!!
Good to know.

So, I called about the CLI and found out the reason - I just recently got an increase. She said to wait a billing cycle, but I'm welcome to try again. Very polite and understanding. So, I'll give it a go next month. Is there something about the 16th specfically, or do I just do it on my billing cycle date?
