Wow. Discover is pretty awesome and so is this board.
Because of this board, I learned that Discover came out with contactless cards so I was able to pick a new design and get a contactless card for free! I received this card in the mail today so as I was looking through my account online, I decided to request a CLI and got the infamous $300. I was happy considering I've only had my IT since August 2019.
Well, I came across someone's post today talking about a "double dip" with Discover. Had no idea about what this was, but I got on my phone and called right away. Sure enough, a very nice gentleman answered and just as I was about to state the reason why I needed the addional CLI ( I honestly had no reason I just WANTED IT--I was gonna wing it), he asked to place me on hold. After 2 minutes, he came back and said, "I can actually offer you an additional $700 to make it a total increase of $1000 today. Is that ok?" I actually said "That'll be fine" but I was really thinking EFFING AMAZING! Before hanging up, he also asked me how I've liked using the card so far and how thankful they were to have me as a customer. It was honestly really refreshing to hear that level of customer service for a change.
But anyways, yeah because of this board, I got TWO CLI's today!!!!
