I wanted to get rid of 3 figures limits to archive my goals for this year and rebalance some payments.
I had no luck with CLI button on Discover website and had to call them and explain why I want my limit to be increased. they pulled TU report and increased it from 750 to 2k, so I'm finally all set ![]()
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
Really! Discover it pulled my Equifax yesterday and approved me for a $1700 CL with a score of 659. I thought they pulled only Transunion that's why I decided to try for a card, my score with them is a 677, not that great but still better than equifax, I'm happy I was approved but didn't want another inquiry on equifax. Congrats on your new limit!
thank you! Congratulations to you too!
What other cards do you have? What limits? I think Discover likes high utilization which is not the case for me. Maybe that's why it's being that unflexible for CLIs. Another thing I can think about is my thin credit history file, just 20 months (that's why I have so many HPs).
Anyway, it's a good start,
* fixed my signature, I also have a Car Loan.
Congrats!
My oldest account is only 18 months.
If I was you, I would've asked them to match the Freedom or try to get at least 5k.
DCU Platinum: 4000 - Discover IT: 11000 - Walmart: 5000 - AMEX BCP: 18000 - Chase Freedom VS: 5000Well, I just have three others Barclaycard with a $750 CL I know it's small but I'll take it! It was approved Yesterday as well. Cap one unsecured for $500 that I've had since June of 2011 and a secured Golden 1 credit union credit card for $250. I think I'll go in the garden for a while because I just took a 7 point hit on my Equifax, I don't have that many points to give away
Congrats again!!

Freedom will be reported only in 1-2 months, so there is no way for them to see this limit in my report, as far as I understand.

What about cap1 steps program? They increased my CL from 500 to 2000 automatically in 6 months.
