Last week I noticed a bunch of us received $500 for our first CLI from Discover. For me, this happened after the 2nd statement cut but 2 days before the 3rd statement cut. Noticed some people asking questions so in this thread, I want to gather some data points that will help others in getting their first initial CLI and what they could expect. Please post your stats and let me know if I need to add anything. Hope this helps and thanks for participating.

Discover has come a long way much better then before.
I know because it took me an entire 18 months after first approved back in 2013 until a very first SP CLI.
Now that they dish them out on a regular basis it only drives more n more customer loyalty their way.
I just opened my account few weeks ago, so I don't have anything to add here. But I encourage other Discover card holders to use this data point so that new cardmember can have the right data avalaible to them.
Thanks OP and others.
Forgot to add that I tried at about 60 days from open and I got denied
I'll add my data point(s):
Date Account Opened: 3-08-16
Initial SL: $1,800

Days 1st CLI received: 91 days

Mine has been open about 2 years starting at $3600 and now at $30k, most of the additional (up to $22k I think) came during the first year, especially when there was a train of increases about every 3 weeks for a bit. I was not carrying a balance or anything up until about October and then have a balance and BT under 0%. Most of it will be switched over to a 0% promotion when this one is up in July and then be paid off. Hope this helps!

I'm in the same boat, with the exception that they gave me auto increases and the SP increase deal is my fault because I was new to credit and didn't know I could do that lol. So my first soft pull wasn't until almost mid 2015 after getting the card in mid 2013.

Was the increases automatic or by hitting the luv button?
I'll share my weirdly contrasting data point in that I got a pretty solid starting limit, but no auto CLI and repeatedly shot down by the luv button
