Congrats! With my 2 cards (when I had 2) I hit them up at 61, 91, 121 days for CLI's and it worked. If you get an auto CLI. Call in and ask for more. Or as we say double dip. Use it a lot and PIF. Good Luck!
Congrats on the approval, I would try calling and letting them know you have a large purchase coming up to see if they can increase it.
Congratulations on your approval!
I guess you could try and call them once you receive your card to see if there is anything they can do. I haven't heard of people being successful with this but worth a shot. As for credit line increases, they are soft pull so you can really request one at anytime. Successes have been seen around the 3rd statement and thereafter.
they might give you another 500 to 1k but they are not known for reconsideration as their computers do 99% of the stuff and their is no overriding them. You looked to the wrong card imo for a large BT as discover isnt known to hand out big limits intitially to most.
Congrats!
Congrats on your new Disco IT card!
Congratulations,
The same thing happened to my DW, prequal looked good for another IT card.
She has a secured IT card that was upgraded but it seems the limit is bucketed at $3300 and she only gets 200 cli at a time if shes lucky, its been over a year now.
So she applied and was approved for $1k.... I thought it was a mistake. Her credit scores are all above 800.
Discover is a strange animal for sure. Maybe this one will grow though.
Still awaiting an approval email. I hope she still gets the 13.49 interest rate and 14 months 0%.
We were hoping to get enough to pay school loans at 0%. Might max it and leave it at 1k I guess.
As my Discover card gets 2500 increases every once in a while with barely any spend and now it's at $42k cl..
