Discover usually pulls TU or EQ, which might help explain your very nice starting limit of $8K! And then there's Amex's almost exclusive reliance on EX. That unpaid parking ticket may have contributed to your (only) $1K limit, but at least you're now in the Amex Club. Perhaps paying off that ticket might help your success for your 61-Day X3 CLI attempt? Hit $3K and you'll be at a 5-figure CL before you know it!
