Discover It Cash Back Approval AND Cap1 CLI

Hi Everyone!

I periodically check my discover pre qualify offers and eas finally offered something more than the secured card.

Quick back info: my Cap1 quicksilver has been stuck at $850 CL for a couple years. 

I got an Amex delta gold last may with a $1,000 limit. No approved cli since. Got an amex gold card in July no preset spending limit.

scores are 

eq 707

Tu 689

Ex 679

So I applied for the discover it cash back and got a $16,500 limit!!

that was feb 10th.

just yesterday I got an email from Cap1 saying my CL was increased to $4850!!

I rarely use the Cap1 anymore since getting my Amex and they said I wasn't getting CLI because of lack of use. They must have taken notice of the discover and wanted to compete?

Congrats on your approval and CLI! I'm kind of surprised about that CLI. Capital One is a weird lender. I gave up on them and closed my bucketed card, once I had something better to use.

Grats on your Disco and Cap-1 CLI

Disco doesnt report their TL till the first statement cycles and sometimes even 2 cycles so I dont think it has anything to do with the Cap-1 move up.
