@Anonymous by the way do you know which bureau they softpulled? TU?
with American Express and Discover being SP, that's nice. aren't you glad you went ahead and got it? So glad to be a good bad influence, lol.
Honestly, when you started, would you have expected that you would be where you're at now? I think you've done a superb job, and I think you have a perfect conservative file, which the mortgage will round off quite nicely, too, I might add!
Isn't it always TU?
My understanding was that Discover always goes off of your most recent TU SP that's updated monthly on the account when you request a CLI.

I just got all 3 reports from annualcreditreport.com. No same-day SPs for any of my 3 SP CLIs that I got last night! Discover, AMEX, and Citi.
Both Citi and Discover did Account Review SPs on 2/28/2021 at TransUnion.
Discover did an AR SP at Experian during the 2nd week of February.
Nothing from Discover on Equifax.
Citi is routinely doing AR SPs at all 3 bureaus!

Also Citi...got $1500 there last night too! All soft pulls all the time. It was your influence that got me the Discover card! lol I was scared to jump off the bridge that night/morning right after getting AMEX.

Oh no way....that was December 2017 when I started my credit profile. I GARDENED AN SSL FOR ONE YEAR. LOL Clueless.
But hey, that single account got me to 750/728/748 on EQ/TU/EX so I could start with 2 decent cards at $8,500 TCL.
I think there may be something to showing more than just a bunch of $0s on most accounts every month. I've made a point of avoiding AZEO, showing modest balances on 4/4 or 3/4 accounts every month. I mean, I did just get $9,500 in SP CLIs across 3 cards last night.
Nice CLI!
Disco been good to me, too.

@Anonymous that's right how could I forget? you've got Citibank as well,so three out of 4 are SP, lucky dog. You chose wisely. And yes I remember that night very well. I remember pushing you off that ledge.
Aren't you glad I did? I'm so proud of you you've done so well!
Great data as always and wow you got three CLIs??!! You go girl!!
Congrats!
@Anonymous you know it might be time to go ahead and take that HP on that credit union card and get it up to be comparable with the others.. js..![]()
@Anonymous @Mr_Mojo_Risin :
@Anonymousis right about that Discover soft-pull of TU at the end of the month. It's showing on my Annual Credit Report as 2/28, and Discover never SP'd anything past that date on any bureau. They didn't do a SP anywhere on the date of my CLI request.
Did they use that SP on 2/28 for the approval? That would further support my hypothesis that staying away from AZEO will lead to better CLIs down the road. (Not prove 100% of course. Just support.)
On 2/28 they would have seen 4-of-4 (100%) with a balance, 6% aggregate with $1,807 of a $32,000 total credit limit. (Snapshot below.) That's 'worse' than what I thought they would have seen doing a SP on 3/15. (Original post has what I thought they were seeing.)
Could people be setting up their file for a decent Discover CLI at the wrong time? My cards all closed and updated in the first week of February. I would have had to set it up for an 'optimal' (if that's actually AZEO, or just low util on many cards ) snapshot in March back at the end of January. Paying everything down prior to closing in March would not have worked.
I'm just wondering if this is something that could really change the game with Discover CLIs.
Discover's SP on TU would have seen this on 2/28/2021:
