Couldn't you just pay it before the statement?
I've just spent 6 months with a card with a $300 limit. There were all kinds of things I couldn't buy with the card, either because it exceeded the limit, or because I would have had to buy part of what I wanted, wait for the charges to post, pay it off, wait for the payment to go through, buy the next part, and repeat. I also had to think each time I used the card, because it would have been so easy to blow out the limit just with ordinary expenses, and then I had to stop using it once a month when the statement closed, so I could ensure utilization remained low. It was a lot of work and worry, which I'm happy to leave in the rear mirror. I can definitely sympathize with @SmileNWave's sense of relief. ![]()
WAY TO GO!! Congratulations!
