Thanks to the many on this great forum.

I was approved for a Discover It card today. $1750 SL! I've been grinding my Capital One Quicksilver and QS1 cards for the last couple years waiting for a baddy to fall off my credit reports. Yeah, patiently...and in the Cap1 bucket. 😄

My FICO 8 Experian was 583 until a few days ago when said baddy fell off. It jumped to 744 on Experian. I applied today with a reported $25k income. Being the minimalist, I did NOT include household income. Meek times but awesome in all facets. Experian pulled as expected. Instant approval.

I'm very happy to be in with Discover! The CB match for year one is sure to be great! Hopefully some decent CLIs are in order too. AJC special maybe.

Congrats on your approval.  Can you be more specific as to the age/severity/type of baddie that fell off?  A 161 point gain is quite substantial, one of the highest I've ever seen, so it's got me curious.  Thanks.

The severity was a BOA credit card I charged off in 2012. This was the only item on my credit when I applied/ approved for the Capital One QS1 on 5/10/2018. I actually had no fico. I was approved for a Capital One Platinum on 11/14/18. Still no Fico at this time. I upgraded the Plat to a Quicksilver in February 2019. My FICO after 6 months from May to December was 575 with only these 2 accounts and the BOA charge off. It only shifted 9 points in 2 years. The BOA charge off fell off 3 days ago. 583 to 744. It actually decreased by 3 to 741 as a result of today's app. Very much worth it for the Disco. 😄
