Thanks for the update. That explains it now. If you ever have a big ticket purchase you can always ask Discover if they have a promo for this. In my experience they have been very good with these offers to me last year but all I was interested in is get my SP CLI
Have any suggestion on how long I should wait until I do this?

Glad to provide a bit of relief to someone. 
But I see people having sucess at asking for that offer some time later and getting it. So I will try my luck.
