Got the email on Dec 4, but the letter I got in the mail today is dated Dec 1.
$4,500 and 17.99%. TU score is 743.
I was a little worried I wouldn't be satisfied with the CL since I've heard Discover can be stingy, especially with new members, but $4500 is now my second highest limit!
My other limits are:
AMEX BCE: $3,000
AMEX Clear: $3,000
Chase Freedom: $3,000
Citi Diamond Preferred: $10,500
Citi Dividend Platinum Select: $2,200
Citi Forward: $3,500
Congrats! Welcome to the Discover family. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats !!!
You can ask for APR decrease down the road. Mine was approved three months ago with 10.9% APR ongoing after 0% APR on purchases and BT's for 14 months expires.

How long did you wait to request it?

Oh...I did not request APR decrease. I was just approved 3 months ago with 10.9% ongoing APR after the promo. Someone here mentioned that you can ask them to mail you the form to request APR decrease. I don't know how long you need to wait for that.
Some folks here have ongoing 7% or 8% purchase APR, something like that.
wow nice and congrats!

Wow that's incredible. I thought the lowest for this card was 10.99%. Any idea of how good one's credit needs to be to get an unsolicited APR decrease? My score is 743, but my file is only about 7 years old and my only baddie is a paid CO. I actually disputed it since I never opened the account (it was a GAP card and I've never shopped at GAP). They wouldn't remove it, but they agreed to change it to paid at least. Better than nothing I guess.

Yes 10.99% is advertised. To get lower you need to ask after you get the card and use it for some time. What they are looking for when they make decision I really don't know. Some other folks here know more about it.
nice limit
