Lemme guess, you got 22.99% after the intro rate,
Yes! And I don't have anything that ridiculous except the Victoria's Secret card, and I figured that was simply because it's a Comenity store card. I never carry a balance on that one. My APR's start at 6% and go to 15.99% otherwise. Even my stupid Cap1 Quicksilver is 14%. I don't get why it's that high for Discover. I called and talked to a "new account manager" and he said when the intro period is over I can ask for that to be reconsidered but it has to be after 1 year of use (which would all be at the 0% anyways). I'm still just bothered by that. Should have just stuck with my gut and left well enough alone.

Congrats.
Hmm ... would love to offer you an olive branch for support but, I walked out on them and took all my life's business. Your remorse is shared!
I have no love for WF either. And I've not heard much positives from many people outside of my feelings toward them so I must not be completely wrong.
Thanks everyone. I still feel remorseful, but it is what it is and it's done. Some people want to crack me up side the head for this but I believe everything happens for a reason, so there ya go. I hope it's only 1 INQ Skye, and I really hope they hit TU out of all of them too cuz that one seems to never get looked at for me.
@HappyCamper, you better believe I will be. I will use the card during the intro rate and if they won't drop it by the time that ends, I will simply SD it or pif. They're not winning that war to lob that one in my lap.
lol @ Anomalous. Thank you.
Thanks all of you. I know, how dare I be stinky about this when so many people try so hard to get approved and don't, or do with less rope than I. I don't mean to ruin that for others.
@AintYouADaisy wrote:Ok, so I waited and waited for my 181 day Amex CLI and got it (yay!). Then I got loopy and app'd for the Amex BCP, got it (yay!) Those were the two biggies on my list I'd waited for today for. I had hemmed and hawed about maybe app'ing for the Discover it, but eventually decided against it because I'm trying to be careful to not get too greedy or whatever. But then I must have still been loopy from all the Amex love that I did it. I pulled the trigger on Discover. I got approved, $4500 limit, but I'm feeling remorseful, like I should have just left well enough alone.
I know it's supposed to be exciting, but I'm wishing I could take it back now. (Thinking about another HP and the limit is "ok" but the APR is insane after the 0% runs out and boy, you'd better believe I'll either fight that tooth and nail or I won't touch that card after that point. They're out of their minds)
Does anyone else ever go through this or do I just need to stop whining and go to bed?
EDIT: Ooops, shoot. I guess I need to stop whining and go to bed, I just saw I put this in the wrong thread/category! I'm sorry! Geez, shoulda went to bed early!
I'm curious. What are your scores like? And do you know your utilization?

Don't worry, you're not going to ruin anything for others. I hope that after a few days you'll feel better about this. You got a great card with a satisfactory CL after all.
On the other hand, maybe your feelings of regret will help some app addict or someone who is tempted to go drapping to think twice betore giving in to temptation.
Dont worry be happy
@Anonymous wrote:I'm curious. What are your scores like? And do you know your utilization?
My scores (before the HP's) are/were: 725 EQ, 713 TU, and 706 EX.
My overall util is at 25%.
And dang it all, they pulled EQ. Everyone wants to pull EQ for me. I have so many inq's on there and ONE on my TU.
Thank you Gunnar. I'm sure you're right. And yes, I really hope this remorse I'm having helps someone before they get too trigger happy.
I am off to garden now. Try to grow me a big ol' tree or something....
lol @sapingo. Thanks for making me laugh ![]()

Yeah, those scores are good and your utilization is nothing crazy? Something tells me that I will not be app'ing for the Discover anytime soon with those terms?
I must admit, I was wondering if you were just that person that was whining and had a bunch of baddies? But, early 700s and 25% utilization doesn't seem to warrant 23% interest rate.
Good luck on your approvals though.
