Discover reallocation with CLI via Web Chat

I have seen a few threads from last year about people combining two discover cards by calling in after a CLI offer. I hate calling any customer service line, plus it was after midnight, so I decided to try via the web chat. The agent explained they needed to check if I was elligible for a CLI first, and came back with a $6000 increase from $5,600 to $11,600 on Disco 1. I didn't ask for a CLI on Disco 2 as I don't really need any higher of a CL. They then completed the reallocation and closure of the second Disco with a $7,000 limit to give me one Disco with an $18,600 limit. This is now my highest CL card.

 

I definitely recommend using the chat feature as it was quick and easy and even though I had to wait "on hold" a bit for a rep, I wasn't tied to my phone.
