I got my Discover IT card just about 4 years ago. In about a year it went from $4k to $12k and has been stuck since. I've asked here and there for a CLI with no luck. I've had a zero balance and haven't used it in 4 months. This morning I got an email with a $2k increase without asking! Thanks Discover elves

Congrats on finally getting a CLI! You may want to try logging in and requesting a CLI yourself, as double-dip potential/results is somewhat common after receiving an auto-CLI.

OPs data of not having used the card for 4 months further solidifies the fact that heavy spend (or any spend) isn't necessary for a Discover CLI.
