I’m almost in tears this morning as i type this. Right when I was starting to believe that my Discover card would never be unsecured, I happened to check my Discover account a few moments ago and to my HUGE surprise i saw my credit limit had jumped from 300.00 up to 2,000.00!!!! I know this may not be a lot for most of you but i am soooo over joyed! This is my largest credit limit so far next to my Delta AMEX at 1,000.00. I almost gave up on Discover and even considered closing the account a few times. My account stayed secured for 15 months. I had already determined that if they was ever going to unsecure my card then they was going to with the same measley $300. I encourage anyone who has lost faith in Discover secured to wait it out! It will work out for you. To add, a few days ago i had one of three collections to fall off my report. That could have been a factor. However, i am so happy right now. Thank you again to this forum for proving the knowledge. 🧡🧡

I think Discover is going on a graduation party spree right now lol. 4 days ago, I got an email from Discover congrats me on refunding my deposit back. Yay!!! Took nearly 18 months for my conversion. But no CLI. No complaining though. Glad to have my $2.5k back.
Then last night, my wife got an email from them for the same thing. And they bumped the CL from $500 to $1.5k. Yay! and the kicker is that her account only been opened since April. So it's only 6 months. She rarely use the card so maybe they like that more than heavily using the card (mine did).
