@Anonymous wrote:How much money were you pumping through that card before your CLI? Just curious about your spending habits. ALso did you make more then one payment a month and always have a 0 balance when the card cut?
Ive been using it as my daily spend card since I bought it. Usually between about $500-$1500 in each billing cycle. I put $1,000 in restaurant spend during Q2, I maxed out the home improvement/Amazon in Q3, and Ive had about $400 in Q4 spend. This past month I put my rent payment of $1,100 on it for the first time, since my new unsecured credit limit of 1750 allowed me to and immediately paid it off. After that billing cycle I got the 3950 CLI.
Hi. I have $5500 CL with a $1400 Cash Advance Limit. That is what they just gave me when I opened the card.

I have a question for you or anyone else who has a Discover card that can answer this since I was considering applying for a Discover also. I noticed that the Cash Advance Credit Line is only $100. Is that all that Discover offers on a credit card that's $5K+?
Congratulations OP!! That's a really nice CLI! And so soon after graduation too!
I always tried to have it report to the bureaus at a $0 balance but some months i had a small balance report, like $150 or $200. Two months before I unsecured I had a $600 balance report because payroll was messed up, but it was paid immediately as funds became available. I usually made two or three payments a month
@CreditCuriousity wrote:Awesome! They certainly like you more than myself.. I am 500 CLI every 90 days like many others. From secured 800 to where you are now, you can't ask for more. You are doing something they like right!
I"m in the same boat as you, or worse. My CLI's are in $300 increments, when they feel like giving me one. So strange reading about Discover's CLI generosity to so many other folks. What a strange company.

That's one heck of a success story OP! Congrats! That thing will be 5 digits before you know it!
@Anonymous wrote:This!!!!!! I went from an $800 secured card that unsecured on 10/27/16 to a $1750 unsecured limit, one billing cycle passed, I hit the CLI button and got this!!!! a $5700 limit! Im on Cloud Nine right now! My Rebuild is finally starting to show fruits of my labor and im loving this. I never would have dreamed of having a card with over a $5,000 limit. You guys are the best
Woot! Got to love Discover! I love them soooooooooooo much and I'm glad they showed you some love!
