On my path to a thicker file, I app'd for and was approved for GS Apple card at $5000 SL at 15.99% APR and the Citi Double Cash at $8k SL also at 15.99%. These probably aren't amazing APR for anyone else but are much lower than my current Discover IT and AMEX BCP. I never carry a balance but its nice to see APR decreasing. I realize that Apple card doesn't report to EQ so maybe wasn't the best choice for my third card but does fit my spending habits (multiple retailers I frequent use Apple pay, we buy a lot of Apple products) and I was looking for a card that pulled TU. The Citi DC is to fill in the gaps for purchases that don't fit into my 5% rotating categories with Discover and 6% back on groceries with AMEX. I considered the Chase Freedom Unlimited but my husband has CSP (I'm an AU) and he just got the Chase Freedom Unlimited... which wouldn't be as quite as good as the Citi Double Cash after the first year and I would rather just deal with one rotating categories card. I'm still considering it for my 5th card in >=6months or so.
Data points:
Apple pulled TU but I don't recall seeing the score after applying, should be around 775. I had 1 TU inquiry from 9/2018 when applying.
Citi pulled EX 768. I had 4 inquiries when applying - 2 from an auto loan in 9/2018, 1 from Discover in 2/2020 and 1 from AMEX in 7/2020.
100% on time payments, only Discover and AU CSP revolvers and two student loans reporting at time of application.
